Histone Deacetylase 1

Histone Deaetylase 1 is a class 1 HDAC and one of the most abundant HDACs in the cell. The protein is enriched in a large number of small nuclear domains scattered throughout the nucleus but enriched in the euchromatin/interchromatin compartment of the interphase nucleus. The protein is found in the cytoplasm during mitosis.
