Mitosis Movies
Timelapse series of cells
entering and/or exiting mitosis. Experiments were performed in the
Michael J Hendzel Laboratory in the Department of Oncology at the
University of Alberta.
Mitosis Movie 1: A field of
HeLa cells transfected with GFP-Histone H1.

Mitosis Movie 4: An SK-N-SH
cell entering mitosis. The cell was transfected with DsRed-Histone
H1. XY, XZ, and YZ images are shown. The Z-scaling is
preserved.
Mitosis Movie 5: Identical to
Movie 4 except Z-scaling is modified to better reflect actual
z-dimension (thickness).
Mitosis Movie 6: Identical to
Movie 4. The image is shown as a Red/Green stereo pair and can be
viewed in 3-D using 3-D glasses.

movies 3-6 is shown exiting mitosis
Mitosis Movie 8: A single
newly forming nucleus from Movie 7 is shown as both a timelapse and
a 3-D rotation movie
